Our Expertise

Each of Peregrine’s facilitators for the supervisor and manager workshops has practical experience and expertise in supervision and management. Each of us has been a supervisor and manager and know very well the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities associated with leading teams. Get to know some of our educators below.

Olin O. Oedekoven, Ph.D.

Dr. Olin O. Oedekoven has been creating and leading effective teams at all organizational levels from first-line leader through strategic leadership for nearly 30 years. He understands the unique value of a team and how the dynamics of a team shape team performance.

Olin graduated from South Dakota State University with both a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and a B.S. in General Biology. Olin then attended the University of Wyoming, where he received an M.S. in Wildlife Management. He received an M.B.A. from Northcentral University. At the Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College, Olin received an M.S.S. in Strategic Management and Leadership. Olin then returned to Northcentral University, where he received a Ph.D. in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Business Management and Public Administration. Shortly after that, he completed a post-doctoral teaching specialization in Human Resource Management.

His military experience includes senior staff, battalion command, and brigade command assignments. As Brigadier General of the Wyoming Army National Guard, he commanded over 1,900 full-time and part-time soldiers. Olin retired from the National Guard in 2011.

Deborah K. Robbins, M.P.A., SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Deborah has over 35 years of experience at several organizational levels, from the first-line employee to senior leader. She has worked in the public sector, private sector, and non-profit organizations.

Her background covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including benefits design and administration, compensation administration, succession planning, leadership development, and EEO and Affirmative Action plan development. Deborah also has extensive experience in organizational development, individual development, conflict resolution, change management, handbook design, recruiting and retention, internal investigations, and safety. Deborah has been a leader and taught leadership for more than ten years.

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. She is a graduate of the CDR Associates as a Mediator and holds the SHRM designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Matthew Ramey, M.B.A

Matthew Ramey has over 30 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. His experiences are diverse and range from construction and technology to higher education. Matthew has held positions at all levels of leadership including technician, faculty, first-line supervisor, and senior leadership.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University. He is currently in the process of completing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership through the University of Wyoming.

P.J. Burns
P.J. Burns

P.J. Burns has spent most of her career marketing and advocating for small businesses and not for profit organizations. Her experience in event and project management makes her a valued member of the Peregrine team. She heartily believes in giving back to the community and volunteers for several not-for-profit organizations in Gillette.
She holds her Bachelor of Science in Sociology. P.J. is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management.
