Peregrine’s Aggregates: A Guide to Benchmarking Assessment Data

Available Aggregate Pools for 2023-2024

To ensure the reliability and validity of these aggregates, Peregrine adheres to specific criteria. Specifically, to create an aggregate at least three schools must administer an exam, with 30 exams per school and a total of 300 exams completed to create a pool. This ensures that the sample is robust enough to offer a meaningful comparison.

In the 2023-2024 cycle, we are introducing the following new aggregate pools to our extensive list of available benchmarks for institutions.

  • 2-Year Institution
  • 4-Year Institution
  • NASPAA
  • AMBA
  • IACBE (Non-U.S.)

Additionally, we now allow clients within the United States to compare their results with an aggregate of institutions based on state.

Apart from the new aggregates for the 2023-2024 cycle, Peregrine Global Services offers an extensive list of current aggregates, allowing for varied and comprehensive benchmarking opportunities. These include:

The External Comparison Report: A Closer Look

Peregrine’s aggregates are not merely raw data. They culminate in the generation of the External Comparison Report, a comprehensive analysis tool used by school officials for program evaluation and external benchmarking.

Key features of the External Comparison Report include:

  1. Exam Score Comparisons: The report compares a selected set of exam results with up to five aggregate pools. This includes comparing the total exam scores and topic-level scores with the selected aggregate pools.
  2. Inbound and Outbound Exam Score Analysis: The report compares percentage change when Inbound Exam scores (at the start of a program) are included with the Outbound Exam scores (at the end of a program).
  3. Program Strengths and Gaps Identification: The report helps academic officials identify the program’s strengths and potential gaps relative to the learning outcomes of the academic program. This is pivotal for data-driven improvements.
