Director of Assessment and Effectiveness

As a dedicated practitioner and educator in healthcare and healthcare management for over 30 years, Dr. Maureen Jones brings extensive expertise in equipping healthcare administration programs to develop the next generation of healthcare leaders.

As the Director of Assessment and Effectiveness at Peregrine, Maureen leads numerous special projects that drive excellence and innovation. She ensures our services measure competency and impact quality in education. Her expertise in continuous improvement, organizational development, and human resources helps identify areas for enhancement and effectiveness within Peregrine.

Maureen holds a Ph.D. in Organization Development and Human Resource Management from Penn State University. Her extensive background enables her to assist organizations, programs, and individuals improve effectiveness by implementing changes and maximizing potential. She supports partners through the complete quality management lifecycle, demonstrating student and program outcomes and achieving successful accreditation visits.

Maureen is known for her person-first approach to leadership. She focuses on understanding individuals’ backgrounds to foster effective collaboration and support. By taking the time to learn about her colleagues and partners, Maureen is skilled at creating an inclusive and empathetic environment where everyone feels valued and heard.

In addition to her role at Peregrine, Dr. Jones serves as the Standards Council Chair for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). She is also involved with the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), where she co-developed and taught the inaugural Leadership Academy course and serves on various boards and committees. Maureen is an active member of the Kentucky chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), contributing to the communications and education committees. Her extensive work in the accreditation and certification space is vital to her role at Peregrine, ensuring that our services align with the needs of institutions seeking accreditation and certification.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Maureen enjoys spending quality time with her family, vacationing at Disney, and relaxing at the beach. A devoted animal lover, Maureen’s warm, strong, and capable personality shines through in both her professional and personal life.
