Career Readiness


Preparing learners of any age with the essential skills needed to find, acquire, maintain, and grow within a job is the focus of this module. Career readiness applies to any area associated with someone entering the job market, whether in self-employment, franchise ownership, employment within an established company, nonprofit entity, or government agency.

Career readiness includes career exploration; learners must know what types of jobs are suitable for them. It includes professionalism because learners need to know the behavioral expectations of a workplace versus their social group. Learners will receive information on launching a successful occupational life, along with the accomplishments, pride, stability, and progression that entails.
